A Short Note
Hey! Thank you for reading this email and always supporting my work. I am indebted to all of you who have purchased my book Low Tech Life and supported the YouTube channel all this time. Thank you! Today I am introducing the future of my communication and documentation aggregation for dumbphones. The Dumbphone Finder has proven successful in giving people a surface-level understanding of dumbphones. However, we do not have a good way to compare documentation, specific information, camera samples, and user reviews. That’s where the dumbphone forum comes in :)
Below is a picture of the new Dumbphone Forum (sign up here). Previously, I was hosting the forum on a personal instance of discourse. While it had its advantages, there were no documentation and chat functionalities. After searching for a while, I was able to snag a lifetime deal with a Circle.so competitor called Heartbeat. After trying it for about 2 weeks, I am going to stay on this platform due to its intuitive functionality, chat features, voice rooms, event scheduling, and more!
You can sign up with your email and get information on dumbphones on the documentation page, chat with other people interested in the low-tech life, and create threads for recommendations. I will be populating the documentation with more information over time, pictures samples, reviews and ratings, and other helpful information that will give you a better roundup of the dumbphones you are considering.
Hope it is helpful and it leads you to a more balanced life :D
P.S. I will be going to Europe for the next 3 weeks, so no posts until I get back. Also, if you have any feedback about the new forum, let me know :)
Enjoy Europe, Jose!
